My work is grounded in nature, taking inspiration from the Mojave Desert where I have my studio. Colours, tones, sunrises, dust storms and endless landscapes. I love the micro/macro scale - a vast wilderness /teaming with abundance, the beauty of a perfect desert flower hanging onto life in the extremes. Time spent in this off grid environment gives space to introspection - desires, loneliness, and the exploration of fatherhood, the birth and nurture of my son and the space a new person takes up in this universe, are all things that influence my work.
